Beginning tomorrow, October 9, 2019, the charming and historic village of Oakland, in Garrett County, Maryland, hosts the award winning Fall festival known as Autumn Glory.
Events and attractions are varied and abundant, with something to please every taste and interest, including the largest antique, street Rod, and classic car show in Garrett County,for all you Motor Heads. In preparation for the winter season, there is High Mountain Sports Annual Ski & Snowboard Swap at Trader’s Landing. For Antique Hounds and Art Lovers the annual Civic Club Antique, Vintage & Maker Market with dealers and makers from 5 states awaits your visit. And of course there is FOOD in many forms, starting with the Oktoberfest Dinner and Celebration featuring German-style food and drink, and branching out to include all the area’s fine and casual dining spots who are amping up their games for the festival. And if that were not enough, Turkey Trails, for traditional and local Turkey dinners to start your holiday season. For the wee ones, and the young at heart, 2 grand parades, face painting and activities. Music is abundant, and capstoned by The Official Maryland State Banjo & Mandolin Championships, and The Official Maryland State Fiddle Championships.
